Our Herbal Garden - A Living Laboratory

The herbal garden at our institute is one of the most comprehensive medicinal plant collections in Rajasthan. Spread across 2 acres, it houses over 200 species of medicinal plants, trees, and shrubs—including rare and endangered species from various climatic zones. Each plant is labeled with its botanical name, Sanskrit name, common Hindi name, family, and medicinal uses.

Students use the herbal garden for practical training in Dravyaguna (pharmacognosy) where they learn to identify plants in their natural habitat, understand their morphological features, observe seasonal variations, and study cultivation practices. The garden also serves as a resource for sourcing fresh plant material used in pharmacy practicals.

We maintain a nursery that supplies saplings to farmers and other Ayurveda institutes, promoting cultivation of medicinal plants. Annual events like "Vanaspati Mela" (Herbal Fair) and educational tours for school children create awareness about traditional medicine and biodiversity conservation.
